Nebraska neurosurgeons to deploy integrated electronic health record and
physician practice management solution to streamline workflow and
facilitate clinical outcomes measurement
TAMPA, Fla., Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Midwest NeuroSurgery & Spine Specialists, an eight-neurosurgeon group practice in Omaha, Neb., today announced that it has selected Intergy EHR by Sage electronic health record and physician practice management software to streamline workflow and to facilitate clinical outcomes measurement.
The group, which is the largest neurosurgery practice in the region, providing care at several leading facilities in Omaha, Nebraska and western Iowa, will go live on the single database electronic health record (EHR) and practice management (PM) on Dec. 2. Intergy will also be utilized for the practice's Imaging Center (MRI, CT and X-ray) that is located within the Medical Office Building.
"Intergy EHR's functionality and the quality and responsiveness of Sage's customer service, which we have experienced firsthand with its Medical Manager, made it easy for us to select that solution over others we evaluated during our due diligence process," said John E. Dunn, R.N., M.H.A., Midwest NeuroSurgery's administrator. "We have been working very closely with Sage and expect a smooth transition."

Midwest Research Foundation, the practice's research arm, will gain the ability to continuously monitor data in almost real time to evaluate and improve patient outcomes. Until now, the practice has relied on premed college students to manually review and analyze paper records, a resource-intensive, time-consuming task.
"Midwest NeuroSurgery & Spine is constantly striving to provide the
highest level of patient care and Intergy EHR will support that goal two
ways," Dunn said. "Firs
