Midbrook Assists Local Hospital with Fall Kit Production
Date:1/15/2010

A major concern of hospitals is keeping their patients safe while within their facility. To help achieve this goal, many medical facilities issue special kits complete with risk identifiers to patients that may present a higher risk of falling while in the facility. A “fall prevention kit” can be issued to certain patients that, for a variety of reasons, have a higher than normal risk of being injured due a fall. These kits can help keep patients safer by making it easier for staff to be aware of patients who are potential risks, and help limit injuries suffered in the hospitals that can be costly and dangerous.

(Vocus) January 15, 2010 -- A major concern of hospitals is keeping their patients safe while within their facility.

Recently, a local Jackson, MI hospital came to Midbrook Medical for their fall prevention kit production. Previously, the facility had been using volunteers to assemble the fall kits. While volunteer labor is inexpensive for the hospital, it did present challenges. The production, delivery, and on hand inventory of kits was often unpredictable.
