Microtek Medical Receives Early Termination of Hart-Scott-Rodino Act Waiting Period for Its Proposed Acquisition by Ecolab

ALPHARETTA, Ga., Sept. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Microtek Medical Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: MTMD) announced today that it has received early termination of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, as amended, in connection with Ecolab Inc.'s pending acquisition of Microtek Medical Holdings, Inc. The Boards of Directors for both companies have unanimously approved the transaction, which is expected to close during the fourth quarter of 2007.
