Michigan Quality Council (MQC) Names Oakwood Healthcare Inc. 2007 State Quality Award Recipient

Oakwood has a medical staff of more than 1,600 doctors, and provides service to more than 1.2 million people in 35 southeastern Michigan communities. Oakwood's specialty services include women's and children's health including high-risk obstetrics and neonatal care, geriatrics, emergency care, cancer care, surgery, cardiology and other specialties. The MQC was created in 1993 by business and government leaders to promote performance excellence practices that achieve results in business, education, healthcare, and non-profit organizations throughout Michigan. The primary service of the Council is to provide feedback to organizations, culminating in recognizing top Michigan performers. The MQC is now affiliated with Cleary University.
