providing quality care. This award by MQC affirms that Henry Ford Health System is among the best of the best in health care and is a wonderful recognition of our team members' selfless contributions and dedication to our patients each day."

HFHS provides a full continuum of health care services primarily to residents of Southeast Michigan, including Detroit and surrounding suburban areas. Established in 1915 by auto pioneer Henry Ford as a single Detroit hospital staffed by the Henry Ford Medical Group, Henry Ford has evolved into one of the nation's leading comprehensive, integrated health systems. The health system includes acute, post-acute, specialty, primary and preventive care services supported by clinical education and research. Henry Ford is comprised of a network of hospitals, ambulatory medical centers, nursing homes, and specialty, retail and community outreach. Health Alliance Plan, Henry Ford's insurance organization, serves more than 2,800 employer groups and 560,000 members. For more information, visit http://www.henryford.com

The MQC was created in 1993 by business and government leaders to promote performance excellence practices that achieve results in business, education, healthcare, and non-profit organizations throughout Michigan. The primary service of the Council is to provide feedback to organizations, culminating in recognizing top Michigan performers. The MQC is now affiliated with Cleary University.

The MQC can be found on the World Wide Web at http://www.michiganquality.org. For more information, contact 734-929-9124 or mquality@cleary.edu.
