Michigan Minimally Invasive Surgeon, Dr. Scott Laker launched a new website for the Michigan Institute of Laparoscopic Surgery, his clinic for laparoscopic surgery. The website, MichiganSurgery.com, was created to be a full-service online medical information site, and offers resources to help people understand what laparoscopy is and why minimally invasive surgery is the best choice for certain surgical procedures. Patients can use the website to schedule appointments, make inquiries, or find out office information.

Dr. Laker said about the launch, “Laparoscopic surgery is a common surgical technique that few really understand. It is used in a wide range of applications from diagnosis to treatment, and this website’s goal is to illuminate the benefits of laparoscopic surgery to people and help them make the most informed decisions about their surgical treatments.”

Dr. Laker is a very well renowned surgeon that has been serving the Metro-Detroit area for over 7 years, and has recently received accolades as one of Michigan’s Best Doctors from Hour Detroit. His clinic uses laparoscopic surgery for operations such as bariatric or weight loss surgery, hernia surgery, reflux surgery, gall bladder surgery, and many other forms of gastrointestinal surgery.

Laparoscopic surgery is a relatively new medical technique that is becoming increasingly popular. It uses a long, thin instrument known as a laparoscope to perform surgeries without the need for large incisions.
