Michael S. McKee, M.D. Joins North American Spine at San Antonio, Texas Location
Date:2/17/2013

San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) February 17, 2013

North American Spine is pleased to announce that Dr. Michael S. McKee has joined its growing network of partner physicians. Dr. McKee will perform AccuraScope® procedures at Victory Medical Center San Antonio.

In a common variation of the AccuraScope procedures, a physician inserts a very thin endoscope, holding a high-definition camera and a laser, into the spinal canal via an opening in the base of the spine. This advanced approach allows the physician to diagnose and treat multiple areas of the spine in one procedure, with more precision and less trauma than other types of minimally invasive spine surgery.

“Dr. McKee has extensive experience and expertise in pain management. His focus on multidisciplinary pain treatment, and emphasis on advancements in minimally invasive spine surgery techniques, make him a perfect fit for North American Spine,” says Sam Bailey, Ph.D., the chairman of North American Spine.

Bilingual in English and Spanish, Dr. McKee has practiced for more than 15 years with a special focus on Interventional Pain Management and laser spine surgery. Dr. McKee has served neck and back pain sufferers in the San Antonio region since 2005. Before that time, he held the position of Chief of Pain Management for multiple hospitals in the New York area during his decade in practice there.

Dr. McKee’s extensive medical training includes two years of General Surgery and three additional years in Anesthesiology and Pain Management. Academic appointments included an associate professorship at New York Medical College and at Stony Brook University Hospital.

Victory Medical Center San Antonio is designed and staffed to provide a high quality experience. It is equipped with four highly advanced operating rooms and provides additional amenities for the patient and family to enjoy, including roomy pre-operative bays and an on-site imaging facility. Victory Medical Center San Antonio also boasts nine large, comfortable private patient rooms tended by one of the best patient-to-nurse ratios in the country.

North American Spine is currently scheduling AccuraScope procedures in the San Antonio region.
