Mexican Dental Vacation Sees a Rush Of New Patients: Recession A Factor

Dental tourism is a phenomenon that was started by people that were looking for an alternative to the high price of dental work in the US, Canada, and other countries. In their search for lower priced dental care, people have found that Mexican Dental Vacation is a great choice as a dental tourist destination.

(PRWEB) December 4, 2009 -- After being in business for more than 6 years, Mexican Dental Vacation is seeing their best year ever, and it seems to be because of the poor economy. Dental tourists are estimated to have exceeded the 600,000 mark in 2009, a 20% increase over 2008 numbers. Dental tourism continues to rise in the United States and Canada as the sinking economy puts pressure on American pocket books.

Founder Nick Konev explains the increase in new patients:
"The majority of people are coming here with several thousand dollars of dental work that they need done, either because it kept getting put off, or because they lost their job, and now can't complete the work that was being covered by their company's dental insurance plan. In either case, it couldn't be put off any longer, since their savings are dwindling, and dental problems never sleep, they just get worse, until they are corrected. People are finding that now is the time to finally take care of it, especially when the future is so uncertain."

Some of the work was great, some had to be redone when I got back home.
