Date:5/18/2013

Bradley, Illinois (PRWEB) May 18, 2013

Cambridge House of Maryville, a BMA affordable assisted living community in the St. Louis Metro East area, is hosting a Memorial Day Weekend Barbecue from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, May 24.

The community, which is located at 6960 State Rte. 162 in Maryville, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

“Join us for a delicious BBQ luncheon topped off by homemade ice cream for dessert,” says Tracy Skaer-Henry, Administrator of Cambridge House of Maryville.

The barbecue is open to the public. There is no charge to attend.

Tours of the Cambridge House community will be available.

For more information, call 618-288-2211.

Cambridge House of Maryville is one of three Cambridge House affordable assisted living communities located in the Metro East area. The other Cambridge House communities are located in O’Fallon and Swansea.

“We provide older adults with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home,” says Henry. “Residents benefit from living in a residential apartment-home environment and receiving personal assistance and help with medications.”

Each of the private one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments feature a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually controlled heating and air conditioning, and an emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All three meals each day, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.

“Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and to participate in activities and special events,” says Henry.

BMA Management, Ltd., the company that manages all three Cambridge House affordable assisted living communities is the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.

Based in Bradley, Illinois, BMA manages 36 assisted living, senior living and memory care communities that together house nearly 3,400 homes and apartments.

“Our focus,” says Rod Burkett, President and CEO of BMA, is to provide residents with the love, compassion and dignity that they deserve in addition to the help and assistance that they need.”

Communities managed by BMA include the Prairie Living affordable assisted living community in Carbondale, Illinois, and the Heritage Woods affordable assisted living communities in Benton, Flora, McLeansboro and Mt. Vernon.

BMA also manages Heritage Woods of Centralia. The community in Centralia, Illinois, features affordable assisted living apartments, senior living apartments, and rental homes for low- income adults 55 years of age and older.
