Date:12/27/2007

- a hospital-sponsored back-to-school event; Meals on Wheels; American Red Cross Blood Drives; and Mansfield Kiwanis, Lions, and Rotary clubs; as well as Mansfield Parks & Recreation Department and Activities Center, to name a few. The hospital's partnership with the Mansfield Independent School District has also provided opportunities for health and wellness education throughout the district. Additionally, the hospital supported Bethlehem Baptist Church Summer Sports Camp and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life in Tarrant and Ellis counties.

Hospital staff members also serve on community boards and promote important community activities including Mansfield Planning & Zoning Commission; Mansfield Chamber of Commerce board of directors; YMCA of Arlington board of directors; Mansfield Cares board of directors; Mansfield and Midlothian ISD Education Foundations; Walnut Ridge Baptist Church Vacation Bible School; Mansfield Senior Wellness Expo; National Night Out; MISD - Methodist Mansfield Hand Washing Campaign; Midlothian ISD Stadium; Mansfield Ben Barber Career Tech Academy; and Mansfield Activities Center Kid Zone program including summer safety, infection control, and nutrition.

The hospital has also received philanthropic support from Frost Bank, Mansfield Women's Club, Arlington Orthopedic Associates, and Community Bank, as well as individual gifts from numerous community leaders, physicians, and caring individuals through the Methodist Health System Foundation.

"This year to keep pace with the more than 25,000 emergency room visits and increasing number of patients who place their trust in us, we will be adding new employees and new physicians to our medical staff and expanding our services," Laura Irvine said. "And we look forward to being a part of the health of this community for many years to come."
