Metastorm Customer, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, Wins CIO 100 Award for BPM Project

BALTIMORE, June 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Metastorm, a leading provider of Business Process Management (BPM), Business Process Analysis (BPA), and Enterprise Architecture (EA) software for aligning strategy with execution, today announced that CIO Magazine has named Metastorm customer Wyeth Pharmaceuticals as one of this year's CIO 100 winners in recognition of its success with BPM. Wyeth is one of the world's largest pharmaceutical and health care products companies.

According to CIO, the 2009 CIO 100 Awards honor 100 companies that are creating new business value by innovating with technology. The Wyeth award entry highlighted the deployment of an electronic data capture system for the collection of drug trial data using both Metastorm BPM(R) and Medidata Rave. It notes that Wyeth's clinical data is now available almost immediately following patient visits, enabling dynamic trial execution methods and "early fail" business decisions for study projects.
