Message to President-Elect Barack Obama: I'm On My Way and I've Got Your Hat
Date:1/16/2009

My Mission to Personally Hand Deliver the President-elect a Stetson Begins Today

BOULDER, Colo., Jan. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- My name is Josh Shayne. I'm a Boulder, Colo. resident and recent graduate of NYU's film school, and I am being sent on an incredible mission to bring back the inaugural hat - a Stetson dress hat, that is.

From now until Inauguration Day, my friend James Darling and I will follow President-elect Obama, starting Saturday in Philadelphia, hat in hand. My mission is to hand-deliver this hat to the President-elect so he has the perfect hat - the Pinnacle - to wear for his inauguration. You can follow my journey at hatforobama.com, where I will be blogging, posting video and updating a map on my location as I go.

For every hat sold through my web site, hatforobama.com, Stetson will donate a portion of the proceeds up to $50,000 to Hats Off For Cancer, an organization that provides hats for children who have lost their hair as a result of cancer treatment.

The inaugural hat is an American tradition that has been lost. Please follow me on my mission to bring this piece of American history back while contributing to a great cause.

About Me:

I am a writer/director, a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and creator of Floating Lightbulb Films, a commercial production company. www.joshshayne.com.

About President-elect Obama's Hat:

I am carrying a custom made, 100 percent beaver black fedora, "The Pinnacle." The Pinnacle and two similar styles, "The Temple" and "The Plaza" are available through my site, hatforobama.com. A portion of th
