Date:12/30/2009

ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 30 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Memorial Blood Centers is pleased to have been selected as the blood supplier for the new Maple Grove Hospital serving the northwest metro communities.

"Memorial Blood Centers has been a community resource for more than 60 years, and we are proud to continue our tradition of forging community partnerships through our relationship with the Maple Grove Hospital," said Judy Petersen, Vice President of Operations for Memorial Blood Centers.

Beginning December 30, 2009, you will be able to experience a modern healing environment where intelligent, patient-centered design leads to the highest level of care. Petersen continued, "This partnership represents another way for our dedicated blood donors to help people in our community. When a blood donor gives blood at our Plymouth donor center, or at a blood drive in their community, they are making a gift that could save a life at Maple Grove Hospital."

During this holiday season, Memorial Blood Centers asks everyone to donate once more in 2009. We currently have a critical need for type O negative blood - type O negative is the universal donor - so please call today to make an appointment to save a life.
