Buyers Representing US$204 Billion in Combined Sales Joined Private Sourcing Events: Gifts & Novelties and Personal Care & Health Products

HONG KONG, June 2 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Fourteen buyers with combined annual sales of US$204 billion met 45 Greater China suppliers pre-screened by Global Sources (Nasdaq: GSOL) at Private Sourcing Events (http://www.PrivateSourcingEvents.com) for gifts & novelties and personal care & health products. The events were held in Shenzhen on May 22 and May 28, respectively.

Six buyers participated in the Gift & Novelties Private Sourcing Event, namely:

-- Brookstone -- one of the largest US specialty retailers

-- Carlsberg -- one of the world's largest brewery groups

-- Li & Fung -- sourcing on behalf of Toys "R" Us, one of the world's

leading retailers of toys and baby products

-- Office Depot -- one of the world's largest office product retailers

-- RadioShack -- the third-largest US electronics chain

-- Test Rite -- Taiwan's largest trading group

Eight buyers participated in the Private Sourcing Event covering personal care and health products:

-- Dairy Farm -- a leading pan-Asia retailer of foods and durable

consumer goods

-- Dollar General -- the largest retailer in the US by number of store

locations

-- Kaufland -- the largest hypermarket chain in Germany
