This yearly event includes several award presentations including the National Courage Award. Since 1980, this award has recognized an individual who has made a significant contribution to the health, welfare, rehabilitation or awareness of people with disabilities. Courage Center is pleased to award the 2008 National Courage Award to Congressman Jim Ramstad for his bi-partisan leadership on behalf of Americans with disabilities.

The Jay and Rose Phillips Awards are also presented to honor local people with disabilities who have achieved outstanding vocational success. This year includes a new Phillips Caregiver Award which acknowledges a behind-the-scenes caregiver whose dedication, professionalism and assistance are vital to the successful work and community involvement of a person with a disability.
