Medscape Physician Connect Becomes Largest Online Physician Social Network with More than 100,000 Physicians

NEW YORK, Dec. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- WebMD Health Corp. (Nasdaq: WBMD), the leading source of health information, today announced that Medscape Physician Connect, the online social network designed for physicians to engage other physicians, has attracted more than 100,000 physicians since launching just this past April.

Medscape Physician Connect is part of Medscape.com, the leading site for physicians and healthcare professionals. Through Medscape Physician Connect, physicians have the ability to tap into their peer community through reading existing discussions, posting comments or creating new discussion topics. For further insights, physicians can create polls for other physicians to vote in for tailored, constructive feedback. The platform allows physicians to gain and exchange clinical and non-clinical information on topics ranging from patient care, drug information, medical legislation and practice management to non-clinical areas of interest.
