Medina General Hospital and University Hospitals Agree to Pursue Affiliation

ffiliation will enable us to strengthen the quality and scope of health care services available to Medina County residents," added Medina General's Hallman. "At the same time, we will retain the flexibility to build programs and services based on the local needs of our patients."

"As is the case with our other community-based hospitals, Medina General will continue to have its own Board of Directors focused on serving the needs of the local community."

About Medina General Hospital

Medina General has served the rapidly growing Medina, Ohio community since 1944. The hospital has 118 beds and more than 1,000 employees. Hospital services include a 24-hour emergency department that sees more than 31,000 people a year and a full-service family birthing center that delivers more than 850 babies annually. Its satellite facility, the Brunswick Medical Care Center, offers a variety of medical services including an immediate care center, physician offices, radiology services including mammography, and physical and occupational therapy services.
