Grand Prize Winner Receives Trip for Two on Medifast Cruise 2009

OWINGS MILLS, Md., Sept. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Medifast, Inc. (NYSE: MED), a leading portion-controlled weight-loss program, today announced they are challenging dieters and current clients to drop the extra weight on the Medifast 5&1 Plan, and then make a brief creative video to "Express Your Success." Express Your Success Weight-Loss Challenge information, including how to register, challenge rules, and how to upload videos, can be found online at http://www.medifastcruise.com .

The grand prize is a trip for two on Medifast Cruise 2009, setting sail from Miami, Fl. on April 25, 2009. Medifast Cruise 2009 is a 5-day excursion aboard Carnival's Destiny(R) with ports in the Grand Cayman Islands and Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Other prizes include a Nintendo Wii Fit bundle with game console, an 8GB iPod Touch, a $100 Visa gift card, and Medifast products.

Medifast is accepting video entries online until March 1, 2009. The top five entries will be posted on the Web site for an online vote beginning March 9, 2009, and ending March 22, 2009 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Winners of the Express Your Success Weight-Loss Challenge will be announced Monday, March 23, 2009 on http://www.medifastcruise.com. Select success videos and stories submitted will be used by Medifast in future advertising campaigns.
