New bars are completely interchangeable in the Medifast 5 & 1 Plan

OWINGS MILLS, Md., Nov. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Medifast, Inc. (NYSE: MED), a leading portion-controlled weight-loss program, today announced the launch of its newest Medifast bars featuring a great crunchy taste and a new formula that is lower in calories, total fat, and carbohydrates. Medifast's new bar flavors include Chocolate Mint Crunch, Peanut Butter Crunch, and Caramel Crunch, and are available at http://www.choosemedifast.com/.

The new crunchy bars are completely interchangeable with other Medifast Meals in the popular Medifast 5 & 1 Plan, which means clients can enjoy up to five new bars per day. The Medifast 5 & 1 Plan allows clients to eat five Medifast Meals and one Lean & Green Meal, consisting of a lean protein and vegetables, each day.

Medifast's new crunchy bars have 110 calories, 3 grams of fat, 11 grams of protein, and 24 essential vitamins and minerals per serving. The bars are easily transported and ideal for dieters on the go with zero preparation time.
