TouchOut Cancer, the first cancer news iPhone application, features daily cancer updates from top news sources and organizations such as Cancer Schmancer, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and I'm Too Young For This Cancer Foundation. Chicago, IL (PRWEB) March 4, 2009 -- MedicinePhone announced today the availability of TouchOut Cancer on the Apple App Store. TouchOut Cancer is an application for iPhone and iPod touch dedicated to daily cancer news, prevention information and updates.

One in three women and one in two men will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. The purpose of TouchOut Cancer is to raise and maintain disease awareness by providing daily cancer updates. Content will include prevention tips, new and updated clinical trials, stories of hope, information about cancer services and celebrity audio and video messages.

The application for the revolutionary iPhone and iPod touch will serve as a platform for the medical community to distribute cancer related information and news.   • When users are viewing a news update they can either TouchOut UP or TouchOut DOWN depending on its relevancy to them.
  • A statistics tracker for users to see how often they "TouchOut". The goal of this feature is for users to keep their score as close to 100% as possible by "TouchingOut" every day.
  • Keep others up to date by automatically emailing TouchOut Up news items to your friends and family.

Katie and her family temporarily moved to Houston, Texas where she was treated at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. After months of high intensity chemotherapy and a transplant Katie was pronounced cancer free.
