Medicine Ball Pushups, a Unique Bodyweight Chest Exercise, Released in Video from BodyweightTorch.com
Date:5/24/2013

(PRWEB) May 24, 2013

Just about any bodyweight training program includes a variety of pushups, but according to Mike Whitfield, a trainer based in Dallas, GA that uses a variety of bodyweight conditioning circuits with his coaching clients, there’s one pushup that is not used enough.

“The medicine ball pushup is a great way to make the standard pushup more challenging. By keeping your hands on a medicine ball, the core will have to stabilize and the abs are being worked much harder than a standard pushup. This unique bodyweight chest exercise is a great way to improve upper body strength and improve conditioning. It is similar to a close-grip pushup, but because the hands are on an unstable surface, this will work the shoulders, chest and triceps much harder. Because our readers like new ideas to use with their bodyweight training programs and bodyweight conditioning programs, we released a video explaining the medicine ball pushup. Whenever unique bodyweight exercises are utilized with a bodyweight conditioning program, it’s much easier to stick to the program and be consistent with exercise. Consistent exercise is what leads to the best results.

We got some great feedback on the medicine ball pushup video and we plan to reveal more videos to our readers so they can use these bodyweight exercises and bodyweight workouts whether they are at home, on the road or they are on a tight schedule. Bodyweight training workouts are a great way to get in and stay in shape without expensive equipment. A medicine ball simply adds a new dynamic to anyone’s bodyweight training program,” said Whitfield, the creator behind Bodyweight Torch, a 4-week program that uses a variety of exciting and unique bodyweight exercises.
