Medical Transcription Service Provider, MxSecure, Teams with HealthCare Partners/PACIS to Accelerate Physician EHR Adoption

MxSecure to integrate medical transcription services with HealthCare Partners/PACIS Electronic Health Record (EHR)

Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) November 3, 2009 -- MxSecure, Inc., the nation's leading medical transcription service provider to solo practitioners, group practices, multi-specialty clinics and community health centers, today announced an agreement with HealthCare Partners/PACIS (Physician Affiliates Clinical Integration Services) to provide medical transcription services to HealthCare Partners' Independent Physician Association (IPA) members, including 500 primary care physicians and 1,400 specialists.

As part of the agreement MxSecure will integrate with Healthcare Partners/PACIS preferred electronic health record (EHR) software, allowing physicians to perform narrative dictation that will be incorporated into their EHR system. This seamless integration will require no change to the providers' dictation routine, improving provider satisfaction and increasing EHR adoption rate.

MxSecure President and CEO, Colin Christie, said, "HealthCare Partners and PACIS are highly respected by their patients and their colleagues, and we're looking forward to assisting them as they move to electronic health records. We believe we can accelerate the acceptance of the new EHR system by streamlining the patient documentation process, and in turn increasing their practice's productivity."

"Since our inception we have been looking for a method to assist our providers with an effective way to meet some of their transcription needs while moving forward with an EHR," said Gary Wietecha, M.D., Director of PACIS. "MxSecure is a natural partner for PACIS because of their NextGen experience and ability to provide a cost effective solution for our affiliate providers in helping them move to full EHR adoption and utilization. We are happy to provide this solution with MxSecure to our customers."

In addition, MxSecure will make available its Internet-based electronic document management and workflow software, MxTranscribe EHR™, to those PACIS IPA medical practices and providers not currently using an EHR system.
