Medical Marketing Agency Revamps Client Services and Creative Departments
Date:11/1/2013

Springfield, MO (PRWEB) November 01, 2013

The Medical Package® today announced three important changes to its roster, improving an already-experienced team known for award-winning campaigns. To meet the needs of an expanding list of clients, the medical marketing firm has acquired Executive Creative Director Jay Nicholson and Creative Director Lean McKay as well as promoted Project Manager Erin Tyler to Director of Client Services. President & CEO Laura McCaskill stated the expansion was needed because the agency recently welcomed a number of new clients including a promising regional health and wellness company.

The expansion also involved a move to a more spacious, newly renovated office building. McCaskill is thrilled with the new office, though she is far more interested in what their growing medical branding team can do for clients: “From day one we’ve accepted nothing short of excellence from our people, and they have always delivered. We simply won’t hire anyone who lacks a portfolio of proof that he or she can help us position clients’ brands above their competitors. Jay and Lean both have impressive bodies of work. With them in the mix, our clients are in for some fun, fearless and measurably effective campaigns—as always.”

Vice President and Executive Creative Director Matt Greene echoed that excitement: “After a careful search for the talent and leadership clients of The Medical Package anticipate, we’ve found two people who surpass our demanding expectations. Jay possesses the industry insight you’d expect from a 30-year ad vet who has consistently produced standout creative and earned more than 500 advertising awards. And we’ve often contracted Lean for engaging design by someone who knows the medical market well. Add them to our existing team, topped with the benefits from Erin now leading client services, and our agency is stacked.”

While The Medical Package expanded to keep pace with the globally recognized brands it represents, it has also heightened the focus on taking regional brands to the next level. McCaskill noted, “The medical community in our region is developing clinically viable products that could go global with the right marketing. For example, we now represent Make People Better LLC, a local company that developed a breakthrough in recovery for acute illnesses. This product is sorely needed, and we will make the healthcare industry well aware of its impact.”

Led by Dr. Kerri Miller, Make People Better is a startup company that develops products and provides services that could potentially improve the health and wellbeing of countless people. In response to evidence that an acute illness complicated by dehydration results in impaired ability for the body to heal, Dr. Miller and Make People Better have developed a powerful Oral Hydro-Biotic from a patent-pending prebiotic formula.

The company developed its Oral Hydro-Biotic as a result of Dr. Miller’s work in Nicaragua. After earning her Nursing Degree from the Burge School of Nursing and her Nurse Practitioner License and Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Miller first began treating poverty-stricken patients in Nicaragua in 2004. She continued this vital work between semesters while earning her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Johns Hopkins University. Working with the Nicaraguan Government and a local physician, Dr. Miller implemented an educational community health worker program and introduced the rehydration program Johns Hopkins University researchers had proposed for protecting children under 5-years-old against recurrent diarrhea and pneumonia due to dehydration. Three years ago, she attended the Global Health Effectiveness program at Harvard University, where she learned to create sustainable medical programs. That experience and her work with the people of Nicaragua led Dr. Miller to found Make People Better and develop a better prebiotic formula.

As Make People Better prepares to market its new product, The Medical Package will create branding, packaging and collateral materials as well as launch a strategic advertising campaign. Dr. Miller has been in regular communication with the agency during the branding process, and she has been impressed: “Laura and her team have done an amazing job of helping me describe my vision for the brand, executing incredible concepts and then leading me to a memorable and cohesive brand identity on which they will help build my company. Beyond that, they efficiently manage the project, freeing much more time for me to focus on building the best possible products and services for Make People Better.”

In addition to representing Make People Better, The Medical Package plans to connect with other innovative medical and healthcare companies in the area. By bringing attention to local medical brands, the agency strives to not only increase profitability for the individual companies but to help invigorate the regional economy as a whole.

While discussing his team’s commitment to building the regional business community, Greene provided a fitting summation of the success and resulting expansion The Medical Package has experienced: “Our focus and territory will remain global, but as long as this agency has the ability to plant big, beautiful flags all over the planet on behalf of our clients, we think a percentage ought to build loyalty for brands based in our area. And with our in-house talent pool continually gaining strength, I’m glad to let our clients—from all over the U.S.—know the flag flying is only getting better from here.”
