Medical Device Consultancy Emergo Group Opens Offices in Turkey and South Africa
Date:8/23/2013

(PRWEB) August 23, 2013

Emergo Group, a medical device regulatory consulting firm operating worldwide, has opened offices in Turkey and South Africa to provide local support medical device manufacturers active in these markets, and providing assistance to companies looking to enter these markets.

In Turkey, Emergo Group has opened an office in Istanbul to provide Turkish medical device registration consulting as well as Authorized Representation services for companies interested in commercializing their products in the country. Turkey’s medical device market, and its economy as a whole, continue to be one of the strongest in the Middle East and Southeast Europe.

A regional economic powerhouse, South Africa has also proven a lucrative emerging market for many foreign companies. The South African medical device registration and approval system currently focuses mostly on electrical products, but market participants and observers expect the government to implement more comprehensive device regulations in the near future. Ahead of these anticipated regulatory changes, Emergo Group has established an office in Cape Town to support manufacturers seeking medical device registration in South Africa, but also aids South African manufacturers looking to export their devices.

“Turkey and South Africa are both robust and attractive markets in their respective regions,” says Colin Rylett, Managing Director of EMEA for Emergo Group. “Identifying new market opportunities and moving on them are crucial for medical device firms pursuing international growth, and our new offices in Istanbul and Cape Town will allow clients to establish themselves early and successfully in Turkey and South Africa.

“From our experience in other markets in North and South America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, we know that local presence can often make all the difference when it comes to medical device registration,” adds Rylett.
