Medical Assistant Program Approved for Phlebotomy Career Training School
Date:9/19/2013

(PRWEB) September 19, 2013

Phlebotomy Career Training school has been going strong for the past four years training, graduating and helping student’s find jobs in the field of Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomy Technician, EKG technician, Telemetry Technician, Cardio-Phlebotomy, Patient Care Technician and Clinical Laboratory Assistant. With such a positive tract record they have decided to add the Medical Assistant program to their already robust curriculum.

Officially State approved, the Medical Assistant Program is off and ready to roll. Prior students and new students will find that Phlebotomy Career Trainings Medical Assistant Program fits into their busy schedule of life and work. Night class are being offered three days per week for sixteen weeks.

Program Director, Professor Kimmel states: "The new Medical Assistant Program offers students superior training at a fraction of the cost that other schools charge. Students have the option of a payment plan or loan. We have truly made this one of our flagship programs with regard to course length and flexible evening hours. I am sure that many prospective students will jump at the opportunity to take our Medical Assistant Course since the length of the course is only sixteen weeks. Many other Medical Assistant Programs are one to two years in length. That is a large time difference in light of our sixteen week program. The great thing is that our students are just as prepared if not more so than those students who attend a one or two year course."

When Professor Kimmel was asked how can their program provide the same education in less time than the longer programs, she stated: “Our curriculum is based on in class hands on training, computer learning, lectures and students attend clinical externships within the third week of class. The direct patient care opportunity that they have so soon into the course helps to build their confidence as opposed to those programs where they begin clinical after six months of training. Student’s have to get out there and apply what they know under the supervision of nurses with over twenty years teaching experience.”

Phlebotomy Career Training has procured flexible financing options for students which helps to make their new Medical Assistant Program more attractive to those students would otherwise be unable to take the course.

Phlebotomy Career Training Medical Assistant Program prepares students to work in the medical field as competent health care providers. Graduates of the Medical Assistant Program will be proficient at providing patient care such as giving injections, dressing wounds, giving medication, performing blood draws, operating laboratory equipment as well as office work such as patient scheduling, medical records filing and chart documentation.

The Medical Assistant Program is as comprehensive as it gets in the post secondary training field. Students of all ages will benefit from their education at Phlebotomy Career Training School. Many of the students are hired prior to graduation.

Professor Kimmel states: “We are very pleased that the State of Michigan Proprietary School Unit has approved our Medical Assistant program. We will now be able to help more of our students become successful medical professionals. After all, isn’t that what education should do? Empower students; help them build their self worth and confidence so that they can help others. Their success is the reason Phlebotomy Career Training is in its fourth year."
