Medica Uses Hallmark Insights to Drive Participation in My Health Manager From Medica(Sm)

MINNEAPOLIS, July 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Helping members improve health and wellness defines the mission of Medica, a non-profit provider of popular health plans to business and government employers, to labor unions, and to individuals of all ages. Helping members understand their health risks is a key component of Medica's health and wellness programs, so Medica implemented an incentives-based online health management program.

Medica's health activity portal, My Health Manager from Medica, not only helps members understand their current health and potential health risks, it uses Hallmark Insights' Integrated Reward Incentive System(TM) (IRIS(TM)) to reward them for being active participants in improving their health. Medica members earn wellness credits for completing a health assessment and participating in lifestyle management programs offered through My Health Manager from Medica.

"Inspiring our members to take the health assessment is critical to getting those members involved in programs offered by Medica that can improve their health and wellness," said Vince Pozinski, Health Education & Wellness Program Manager. "Offering an incentive for taking the health assessment has been a terrific way to encourage participation, and the fact that our members are able to choose from a wide variety of incentives ramps up the excitement and engagement because they can select something they actually want."

Prior to partnering with Hallmark Insights, Medica members could earn rewards through My Health Manager from Medica, however the rewards were dispersed quarterly.
