As of February 2010, occupational and government health specialist Health Services Australia (HSA) will be re-branded as Medibank Health Solutions.
(PRWEB) February 10, 2010 -- The change will consolidate the medical and allied health capabilities formerly offered under the "Health for Industry", "Work Solutions" and ahm's "Total Health" brands as Medibank Health Solutions, delivering face-to-face, telephonic and online health solutions Australia wide.
Medibank Health Solutions Chief Executive Officer, Stan Macionis, said while the brand was changing, customers will see little change in the services they receive.
"HSA and Medibank merged in 2009 with the aim of creating Australia's leading provider of private health insurance and health solutions. We have worked hard over the last 12 months to integrate the two organisations and changing the brand name is the next step in this process.
"As Medibank Health Solutions we will continue to offer the same range of services as we did under the previous brands, and our commitment to our customers in industry and government is unchanged.
"Clients will see the same clinical staff, providing services either in the workplace or from our owned and operated workplace health clinics around the country . Where there are changes they will be subtle – things like new signage, stationery and uniform logos.
"The one area where our customers will see something new is in our ability to offer a more integrated suite of health insurance and health solutions, all under the Medibank brand, which is one of Australia's strongest.
"With the power of the new brand, the ability to add in corporate health insurance and the new preventative health care services we are looking to add over the next 12 months, we believe Medibank Health Solutions is the clear choice when it comes to innovative health services for business, government and, increasingly, the wider community," he said.
With over 1000 clinical staff Medibank Health Solutions brings a new dimension to the Medibank group, a capability which will be extremely important as it seeks to take a more active role in the health of its almost 3.5 million private health insurance members and the wider community.
Specialist travel health provider "The Travel Doctor-TMVC" - also part of Medibank - will continue to operate under its existing brand name.
