Creating Healthy Smiles for Special Athletes One Step at a Time

BALTIMORE, June 2 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following was released today by the Academy of General Dentistry:

Who: Runners and walkers alike are invited to enjoy Baltimore's running path along the Inner Harbor and Camden Yards during the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) Foundation Fun Run/Walk 5K, held during AGD2009Baltimore, the AGD's 57th Annual Meeting & Exhibits, July 8-12, 2009.

What: AGD Foundation 5K Fun Run/Walk (Sponsored by Dentist's Advantage)

When: Friday, July 10, 2009

Race Start 6 a.m. ET

Why: To raise awareness and proceeds to benefit Special Olympics Special Smiles(R) (SOSS), a program in which the AGD Foundation partners with the Special Olympics to identify general dentists who will provide dental care at events and in-office care for athletes, their families and care-givers.

Registration/Information: Registration is available by mail and on the day of the race. Pre-registration is $25 and $30 for race day registration.
