School-aged children can receive needed free health and dental screenings

WHAT: Fit For Life Family Fair; A free community health screening and
fair for school-aged children. Free health and dental screenings
will be offered to school-aged children that are accompanied by a
parent or guardian. Free sports physicals also will be provided
to the first 200 registrants. This event, which is open to the
public, will offer participants entertainment, giveaways. More
than 2,000 participants are expected.

BACKGROUND:
In conjunction with Cover the Uninsured Week, a national campaign which takes place during the first week of May to raise awareness for those in need of health care coverage, 100 Black Men of Atlanta, Inc. will join forces with Aetna, the Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation, Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, and the Retired NFL Players Association to host the "Fitness For Life Family Fair" - a free community health fair designed to offer the participating communities access to healthcare services.
The 100's second community-focused healthcare initiative outside of the
context of the Atlanta Football Classic, Fitness for Life will offer its
2,000 expected attendees free health, dental and vision screenings, BMI and
blood pressure screenings as well as free sports physicals for the fi
