MedQuist Updates Status of Outstanding SEC Filings

MT. LAUREL, N.J., Sept. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MedQuist Inc. (Pink Sheets: MEDQ.PK) today announced that it is nearing completion of the work on its Forms 10-Q for the first two quarters of 2007 and expects filing both reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) by the middle of October 2007. Upon filing these two reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Company will be current in its filings with the SEC for the first time since the filing of its Form 10-Q for the third quarter of 2003. The Company plans on timely filing with the SEC its Form 10-Q for the fiscal quarter ended September 30, 2007. On August 31, 2007, the Company announced the filing of its Quarterly Reports on Form 10-Q for the first three fiscal quarters of 2006 and its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2006 with the SEC, and noted that it anticipated filing its Forms 10-Q for the first two quarters of 2007 during the third quarter of 2007.
