MedPage Today's News-Based CME has been reviewed and is acceptable for Elective credits by the AAFP. Each MedPage Today article is approved for .25 Elective credits.

About AAFP

Founded in 1948, AAFP is one of the largest national medical organizations, with more than 94,600 physicians and medical students nationwide. It is the only medical society devoted solely to primary care.

In the increasingly fragmented world of health care where many medical specialties limit their practice to a particular organ, disease, age or sex, family physicians are dedicated to treating the whole person across the full spectrum of ages.
