Industry Expert To Discuss The Benefits of Improved Patient Medical Data

ANNAPOLIS, Md., May 27 /PRNewswire/ -- MedAssurant, Inc., a leading medical informatics solutions provider, announced today that MedAssurant President and CEO, Dr. Keith Dunleavy will be presenting at AHIP's Institute 2008 to be held June 18-20, 2008 at the Moscone Center West in San Francisco.

The symposium, "Patient Healthcare Data Supersets: Improving Outcomes and Financial Performance," will be held at 7:45 am PDT on Thursday June 19, 2008. Dr. Dunleavy will discuss the pieces of patient medical data needed to drive improvements, how improved patient-specific data benefits the patient, the care provider, and the payor, and how necessary data elements can be efficiently discovered, aggregated, and made assessible in such a way as to efficiently achieve desired benefits of quality of care and cost of care to all parties.

Dr. Dunleavy serves as President and CEO of MedAssurant, Inc. and holds over 16 years of health care experience. During his tenure, Dr. Dunleavy has focused on addressing the rising role of patient-specific healthcare care; the coordinated integration, abstraction and analysis of its discordant sources; and the resulting realization of material improvements in health care outcomes and financial performance. Dr. Dunleavy has authored and co-authored a number of scientific journal articles, abstracts and proprietary research papers and has presented his work at multiple national and international conferences.
