MedAptus' Charge Capture Technology Deployed at Leading Manhattan Cardiovascular Practice

rful system that can readily adapt to user needs."

LHICVS first went live with MedAptus in late 2008 after undertaking a competitive vendor review process. Customer feedback has been quite positive - as one example, charges are now submitted to the MedicsElite billing system more rapidly and accurately than ever before. In addition, MedAptus has helped the group improve consistency of inpatient charge capture, a process that can be problematic without an electronic reconciliation tool such as MedAptus' RCA Engine, a component of Professional Intelligent Charge Capture.

"LHICVS is not only a prestigious cardiovascular practice, they also are quite savvy about information technology and enthusiastic about MedAptus. As such, they have been a joy to work with," said Rick Little, executive director of client services at MedAptus. "We fully expect LHICVS will experience significant benefit from the adoption of our tool, currently experiencing increased interest from cardiology groups. Given the amount of money that could potentially be left on the table resulting from lost charges and coding denials, particularly in the face of a challenging economy, it has never been more important to 'get it right' the first time."
