Med-Emerg International Inc. receives court approval for AIM Health Group arrangement

TORONTO, Jan. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Med-Emerg International Inc. (OTCBB:MDER) ("MedEmerg"), one of Canada's leading providers of health services, is pleased to announce that it has obtained final court approval from the Ontario Superior Court of Justice approving the previously announced plan of arrangement (the "Arrangement") with AIM Health Group Inc. The Arrangement was approved by a special resolution of MedEmerg's shareholders at a special meeting of MedEmerg's shareholders held on January 8, 2009.

Subject to the satisfaction of certain closing conditions, the Arrangement is expected to close on or about January 15, 2009.
