Date:2/12/2009

MCKINNEY, Texas, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Marvin Berlin is out to change lives by offering free smiles to anyone who needs dental work, as he hosts the latest event for Dentistry From The Heart.

The Valentine's Day event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 14 at McKinneyDentist.com in McKinney. Starting at 8 a.m., Dr. Berlin and his partners, including Dr. Matthew Markham, Dr. Jeff Lynch, and Dr. Britt Bostick, will treat as many people as possible. For more information, visit http://www.McKinneyDentist.com or the organization's national website at http://www.DentistryFromTheHeart.org.

This Saturday's event marks the fifteenth year of charitable dentistry provided by McKinneyDentist.com. This team of doctors and volunteers typically see at least 150 patients during their Dentistry From The Heart event each year.

Dentistry From The Heart is a national non-profit organization with a simple mission -- making people smile. Founded in 2001 by Dr. Vincent Monticciolo, a dentist in New Port Richey, Fla., Dentistry From The Heart was created to aid those in need, including the growing population of under-insured Americans. Over 100 million Americans are without dental insurance, and over 29 percent of adults have untreated cavities. Without events like Dentistry From The Heart, dental care simply isn't an option for many of the uninsured. To date, this program has helped over 5,000 patients and provided over $1 million in dental care.

"Now more than ever, I know there are people out there who need my services, but have no means to afford them -- whether they're out of a job, or just don't have dental insurance. This Dentistry From The Heart event is my way of giving back to the community, and being there for the people who are in need of dental work," said Dr. Berlin.

Dentistry From The Heart is a registered non-profit organization that offers free dental work for people who need it. Dr. Vincent Monticciolo founded the organization as a means to give back to the community and address the growing number of people without dental insurance. In the past seven years, Dentistry From The Heart events have contributed more than $1 million in free dentistry and helped more than 5,000 patients across the country.

Dr. Berlin and team are proud members of the Heartland Dental Care family. Based in Effingham, Ill., Heartland Dental Care, Inc. is one of the leading dental practice management groups in the United States with 230 dental practices and 25 affiliated practices located within 12 states.
