Agreement to Yield Practical Resources for Medical Professionals
NEW YORK, March 3 /PRNewswire/ -- McGraw-Hill Professional will soon deliver the extensive experience, practical knowledge and authority of the American College of Physicians (ACP) to medical professionals and students worldwide through a new co-publishing agreement. Through the agreement, McGraw-Hill and ACP will produce a series of reference works focused on key clinical issues and procedures, with an emphasis on topics that are evolving rapidly. The series provides clinicians and residents with vital new tools for learning, reference, and clinical application.
"This McGraw-Hill/ACP alliance combines two of the world's leading authorities in medical literature, and will yield next generation resources for physicians and residents who are looking for hands-on practical and trusted information," said Philip Ruppel, president, McGraw-Hill Professional. "ACP is the largest internal medicine organization in the world. Our affiliation with ACP underscores McGraw-Hill's position as a leading global provider of information resources for the scientific and medical communities."
"We are delighted to collaborate with McGraw-Hill Professional in developing clinical and educational resources on important topics that will be of particular interest to internal medicine physicians and trainees," said Steven Weinberger, MD, FACP, senior vice president for medical education and publishing at ACP.
The first McGraw-Hill Professional/ACP title will be published this spring, and additional titles will follow later this year and into 2009. The series will be authored by prominent general internal medicine physicians, related subspecialists, and institutions with international reputations for excellence.
