Mayo Clinic Executive Brent Phillips to Join Aurora Medical Group as Chief Operating Officer

degree in business administration from Idaho State University, and dual master's degrees in health care administration and business administration from the University of Minnesota.

"Aurora has an intense focus on service, quality, safety and innovation, and that's what attracted me," Phillips said. "In addition, I believe strongly in the benefits of integrated health care, and Aurora is a national leader in creating an integrated model that works."

Phillips will begin his role at Aurora on Oct. 19.

Founded in Milwaukee in 1990 with three physicians, Aurora Medical Group has grown to become one of the country's largest non-academic group practices, encompassing 960 primary care physicians and specialists. The physicians care for patients at clinics throughout eastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

Aurora Health Care is a not-for-profit health care provider and a nationally recognized leader in efforts to improve the quality of health care. Aurora offers services at sites in more than 90 communities throughout eastern Wisconsin.
