Mathea Ford CEO of Renal Diet Headquarters to Present at AAKP National Patient Meeting for Kidney Disease Sufferers
Date:8/18/2014

Moore, OK (PRWEB) August 18, 2014

During the upcoming AAKP National Patient Meeting for kidney disease patients, Mathea Ford, Author, Registered Dietitian and CEO of Renal Diet Headquarters will be presenting during the “Lunch With the Experts” session on “Dining Out While on Dialysis…Yes You Can!”

On September 24-26th, 2014 Mathea Ford, Author of over 19 books, Registered Dietitian and CEO of Renal Diet Headquarters will be attending and speaking at the National Patient Meeting for the American Association of Kidney Patients. She will be presenting during the Lunch with the Experts Hour on “Dining Out While on Dialysis…Yes You Can”. Contrary to the opinion of many healthcare professionals, Mrs. Ford believes that it is possible to dine out, have fun and live a full life without jeopardizing one's health. Mrs. Ford said "Too many patients are taught to be victims and become prisoner to a bland eat-at-home diet. My view is that you can eat out and yet still maintain a healthy diet.” Mrs. Ford has written books on topics related to kidney disease from nutrition to the emotional changes that happen during kidney disease progression. The topic of interest is important because many patients find it difficult to consume meals while they are away from home. Mrs. Ford will be highlighting easy changes and ways to choose better meals on the go.

The National Meeting of AAKP brings together patients, health care professionals, academic experts and friends of the kidney community for education and camaraderie. Mrs. Ford was recently quoted “I am very excited to be attending this meeting of the AAKP and also very grateful for the opportunity to present on dialysis nutrition and eating out. I believe that we will all grow and educate each other during the time together in Las Vegas. Being associated with this great group of people brings joy to my work.” Mathea Ford RD and CEO Renal Diet Headquarters will be available for interviews before, during and after the patient meeting.

Additionally Renal Diet HQ will be participating in the exhibit hall at the AAKP meeting and Mrs. Ford will be featured in the show marketplace with published books and will have time set aside for signing personal book copies for attending patients. “The Kidney Friendly Diet Cookbook: Recipes for a Pre-Dialysis Kidney Disease Lifestyle” and “Positive Beginnings-The Dialysis Breakfast Cookbook” will be the featured titles at the onsite book signing session. Renal Diet Headquarters specializes in meal planning for predialysis, dialysis and renal diabetic patients and is the premier source for information on the topic.
