Mastering Challenges & Measuring Successes for Quality Initiatives in Sales, Marketing and Product Development
Date:10/11/2007

CHAPEL HILL, N.C., Oct. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- At "Managing Quality to Drive Growth," the third quarter conference hosted by Best Practices, LLC's Global Benchmarking Council (GBC), executives from 20 leading companies discussed hot-button issues such as: the essential DNA for quality and growth; product innovation excellence; process simplification as a fuel for growth; and tactics, challenges and successes in integrating quality into sales, marketing and new product development, just to name a few.

Many of the insights emphasized quality's growing and nontraditional role in an organization and how to tackle new barriers that come along with that growth. "We need to grow process excellence up in the sales and marketing areas," aptly stated a quality manager during a roundtable discussion "so process improvement is in the back of their heads as they're selling."

Included in the discussion notes are other challenges, tactics, successes and mini case studies from conference attendees about implementing process improvement approaches in revenue- generating areas.
