Massage Industry Heavyweights Team Up for First-Ever Massage Documentary

The Liddle Kidz Foundation (LKF), a renowned children’s health and nurturing touch organization, has collaborated with fellow childcare and massage groups to complete the world’s first documentary about pediatric and infant massage.

Shot exclusively in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan in November 2011, the documentary covers LKF’s efforts to bring nurturing touch to the people of the country. LKF worked closely with the Japanese Association of Baby and Childcare in coordinating the project, and the film was made possible with generous donations from the Massage Therapy Foundation, Massage Warehouse and ONE Concept Group.

“Putting this documentary together has been a labor of love for all of the organizations involved,” said Tina Allen, Founder of LKF and an internationally respected expert in the field of children’s and infant massage therapy. “International outreach is important to us, and so we’re thrilled to be able to share our experiences in Japan through this film. As a result, more people will see the tremendous benefits of therapeutic massage for children and infants.”

The documentary features compelling testimonies and personal stories from individuals training with Allen to learn the art of pediatric massage. The film also follows Allen and a group of massage volunteers as they participate in orphan outreach efforts with Japanese children affected by the severe earthquake and tsunami that hit the nation in March 2011.

“We were able to show the power of nurturing touch through our volunteer work at the orphanage,” said Allen. “The plight of these children is heartbreaking. At LKF, we make it our mission to help infant
