MassDevice Big 100 East Conference Celebrates Newsmakers, Game Changers

MassDevice, an online journal of the medical devices industry, is pleased to announce the 2013 MassDevice Big 100 East, which offers an inside look at some of the companies and devices that have made headlines over the past two years.

The conference, which will be held in Waltham, MA on Tuesday, July 16 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM EDT, is called "MassDevice Big 100 East: News makers & Game changers." This year's conference welcomes an incredible panel of industry leaders and executives, each of whom has left their own important mark on the medical device industry.

According to MassDevice, "The 6 CEOs represented have orchestrated the 3 largest M&A deals in med tech over the past two years, netted the single largest funding round in 2012 and are developing groundbreaking technology across all spectrum of the device world."

The MassDevice Big 100 promises to be an exciting and interesting conversation among medical device leaders, and will offer an unforgettable exchange of insight, ideas and contacts with the most prominent pioneers in the field.

In attendance will be featured guest Catherine Burzik, Former CEO of Kinetic Concepts, Inc. Ms. Burzik is a seasoned senior executive in the healthcare industry who has successfully led major medical device, diagnostic, diagnostic imaging and life sciences businesses. Currently, Burzik currently advises several venture capital-backed biotech companies in San Antonio and San Francisco, and is involved in the medical device and philanthropic communities.

Also in attendance will be featured guest Karen Licitra, Worldwide Chairman of the Global Medical Solutions Group within Johnson & Johnson’s Medical Device and Diagnostics segment. She is known for creating innovative new growth platforms and has a wealth of domestic and global industry experience acquired during 28 years in sales, marketing, commercial and general management.

Notable innovation and game changing CEO panelists include Jeff Burbank, CEO and founder of NxStage Medical; Richard Packer, CEO of the ZOLL; Amarpreet Sawhney, President and CEO of Ocular Therapeutix, Inc; and Dr. Philipp Lang, CEO, President, Chairman of the Board, ConforMIS.
