Date:11/5/2007

COLUMBIA, Md., Nov. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Already a leader in the DHA omega-3 food and supplements industries, Martek Biosciences Corporation announced today that it will be expanding its reach in the animal feed market with a worldwide exclusive distributorship agreement for its DHA Gold(R) product with Novus International, Inc. Martek will serve as Novus's exclusive worldwide DHA supplier for all of its poultry and swine feed and enrichment products. "This partnership with Novus represents a new opportunity for Martek," said Joe Buron, vice president of sales and marketing for Martek. "Animal feed and nutrition represent a logical extension of Martek's core technology and we are pleased to be working with an industry leader and innovator like Novus as we expand into this market."
