Marina Del Rey Hospital Announces the Acquisition of Brainlab’s Curve Image-Guided Surgery Platform and 3D C-Arm Navigation Software

This month Marina Del Rey Hospital’s world renowned spine program purchased and installed the Brainlab's Curve™ image-guided surgery platform and 3D C-Arm navigation software.

The 3-D C-Arm is designed to provide orthopedic spine surgeons will real-time navigation during complex spine and trauma procedures. Marina Del Rey Hospital already owns and operates with Brainlab'sNaviVision® 3D navigation system.

The Curve™ image-guided surgery platform will significantly enhance conventional navigation and will help orthopedic spine surgeons to improved ergonomics. The 3D C-Arm navigation offers a series of benefits to surgeons enhancing visualization and automatically registering patient data.

3D C-Arm navigation benefits:

  •     more accurate screw placement
  •     possibly reduces re-operation rate
  •     reduced radiation exposure to both patients and OR team
