Date:7/22/2014

Marietta, GA (PRWEB) July 23, 2014

Marietta, Georgia and surrounding areas have more rescue dogs and cats available than necessary homes. In an efforts to lower population of needy pets; Marietta Vet Clinic, Julian Peckich DVM and Vicki Hammonds from the Tigg Neuter Project have joined forces. Local businesses are being asked to donate items to be sold. All proceeds will be presented to the Tigg Neuter Project.

The pet clinic, staff, and extended animal clinic family are excited to attend and host the event. Local business as being asked to donate items for sale. Marietta cosmetic dentists from Verde Pointe Dental Associates, Kirk Kimmerling DDS, Suzanna Aguilera DMD and Garrick McGrath DMD have donated Sonicare Toothbrushes and teeth whitening to the event. "So many families already have rescue pets in the home, but would still like to help. This gives the local community a chance to donate or make a purchase, all in the name of rescue pets. It's a terrific opportunity," says Dr. Peckich.

Vicki Hammonds, founder of the Tigg Neuter Project is thrilled to partake in the event. It is the second one this year. Ms. Hammonds is an animal advocate tired of healthy dogs and cats being euthanized in her own county, so she decided to make a difference. She currently organizes efforts targeting low-income areas where pets are not spayed and neutered. The needy animals receive spay and neuter, basic vaccinations and are returned to the owners. The effort lowers the number of pets that are taken to the local shelter.

Marietta Vet Clinic and veterinarian, Julian Peckich DVM are pleased to welcome dogs and cats to the pet clinic, dog clinic and cat clinic. Dr. Peckich provides veterinary services for the Marietta, Kennesaw, Dallas, Acworth, and Powder Springs, GA. It would be their great pleasure to welcome dogs and cats to the pet family for cat vaccinations, dog vaccinations, pet vaccinations, rabies shots, sick animal relief, laboratory testing, pet teeth cleaning, veterinary dentistry, wellness exams, spay and neuter clinic and mobile veterinary services.
