Marienkrankenhaus Hamburg Installs Visage(R) CS Enterprise Wide Advanced Visualization Solutions
Date:7/14/2009

BERLIN, July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Visage Imaging GmbH, a subsidiary of Pro Medicus(R) Ltd. (ASX: PME), announced today it has installed their Visage(R) CS solution at Marienkrankenhaus of Hamburg, Germany, a 521 bed primary care hospital, providing medical services for about 65,000 patients per year.

Dr. Denkhaus, Chairman of Radiology states, "Visage CS allows us to post-process and report our large CT and MR studies without long loading times or the need to physically go to dedicated post processing station. This will significantly increase our efficiency at any workstation in the department, without latency."

Mr. Koch, the CEO of Marienkrankenhaus indicated that "Integrating the Visage CS system into our existing RIS/PACS infrastructure has added the performance boost we needed to support our new 128-slice CT machine."

"Marienkrankenhaus has a very sophisticated and highly integrated workflow and IT infrastructure and the seamless integration of our Visage CS was a key factor for success in this project. We are excited to have them as our customer and we are committed to support and provide the technology to continue their success," said Malte Westerhoff, CTO of Visage Imaging.

"Visage Imaging provides superior integrated clinical applications, and a clear commitment to evolving its tools and applications to meet customer needs. The Visage CS solution has a strong focus on radiology and it also goes one step further to provide surgeons, neurologists, and other referring physicians efficient access to original 3D data, enabling them to perform their own reformatting and post processing in and beyond the radiology department," said Hartmut Schirmacher, Director of Product Management, Visage Imaging.
