Major Physician Group Issues Statement in Support of Physician/Industry Relationships

"Physician and industry collaboration has advanced the treatment of major illnesses such as diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis, high cholesterol and hypertension," said Daniel Duick, MD, FACP FACE, and President of the AACE. "The overwhelming majority of physicians, in all fields of healthcare, evaluate and apply advances that are deemed effective, safe and result in best clinical practice outcomes; and, they do so with their patients in mind, and not for pharmaceutical perks."

The Position Statement will be published in the May/June issue of Endocrine Practice, the Journal of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
