MORSE LLC - CyberKnife Centers of Miami and Palm Beach Mark Expansion Into Southwest Florida
Date:7/14/2008

MIAMI, July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- CyberKnife Centers of Miami and Palm Beach will be joined by a third, CyberKnife Center of Tampa Bay by summer's end. MORSE LLC of Miami, a world renowned image guided robotic radiosurgery practice facilitator, will guide the three centers in maintaining the model of community-based outpatient cancer treatment facilities. The mission of MORSE LLC is to provide the CyberKnife technology to the broadest number of patients and physicians. A fourth center is in the planning stages in Southwest Florida beginning this fall.

According to James G. Schwade, M.D., FACR, FACRO, FASTRO, Executive Director of the facilities, "By offering access to the maximum number of qualified physicians, we ensure that the maximum number of patients have access to this technology. We believe we've assembled the best organization in the world for the delivery of radiosurgery to any body site."

The image-guided robotic radiosurgery tool effectively treats head, neck, prostate, lung, liver, spine and other hard to reach cancer lesions with a radiation beam that precisely targets a very intense dose of radiation to a small area as tiny as 0.95 ml. It does so with:

-- little to no side effects

-- 1-5 treatments

-- outpatient non-invasive surgery

-- patients resume normal activity when treatment is finished

The expansion of the company highlights a growing trend on the part of consumers and doctors alike to choose the least invasive, most effective cancer treatment available for patients who are diagnosed with prostate, lung, brain, neck, liver and other types of cancer for people who are deemed "inoperable" and have been through chemo and traditional radiation therapy. The CyberKnife is manufactured by Accuray of Sunnyvale, California.
