MEDai Client Named Recipient of 2007 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award

ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- MEDai, Inc., headquartered in Orlando, FL, a leading provider of innovative healthcare solutions, announced that its longstanding Pinpoint Quality(TM) client, Sharp HealthCare of San Diego, CA, was awarded the 2007 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.

The Baldrige award is considered the nation's highest Presidential honor for quality and organizational performance excellence. Congress established the program in 1987 to recognize outstanding achievements in quality in three categories including health care. Organizations that apply are willing to look beyond their own internal self-assessment processes. As part of the application process the Baldrige program examines seven facets of organization and performance, which is then followed by an intense site visit during which feedback regarding potential improvement is given.

Sharp HealthCare is the largest integrated delivery network in San Diego with four acute care hospitals and three specialty hospitals, including the region's only freestanding women's hospital.
