MED3OOO Client Wins IHA Pay-for-Performance Award
Date:10/11/2007

PITTSBURGH, Oct. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- SeaView IPA, an Oxnard, CA Network Services client of MED3OOO, Inc., received the Ronald P. Bangasser Memorial Award for Quality Improvement from the Integrated Healthcare Association (IHA). The award was presented during a special Awards Ceremony at the 6th Annual Pay-for-Performance Stakeholders Meeting of the IHA on October 4, 2007.

The IHA is a statewide leadership group that promotes quality improvement, accountability, and affordability of healthcare in California. According to the IHA, "California's P4P program is the nation's largest, involving over 40,000 physicians in 220 physician organizations that care for over 12 million individuals enrolled in eight major health plans (Aetna, Blue Shield, Blue Cross, CIGNA, Health Net, Kaiser Permanente, PacifiCare, and Western Health Advantage). An organizing principle behind P4P is the uniform evaluation of physician groups' performance across multiple health plans with a common set of quality measures. The clinical quality measures are adapted from NCQA's Health Plan Employer Data and Information Set (HEDIS(R)), the most widely used set of performance measures in healthcare."

"We are honored to be the recipient of this pay-for-performance award," said Gary Proffett, M.D., SeaView Medical Director. "SeaView has a long- standing history of providing proactive patient care. We have built a healthcare organization that provides comprehensive and accessible medical care that is respectful of patients' time and responsive to their individual needs, while effectively managing chronic illness. We place a great value on building a trusting relationship with each patient, and MED3OOO helps our physicians with clinical measures to improve our patient outcomes."

"We commend SeaView IPA on receiving this prestigious award. The SeaView providers are committed to providing personalized high-quality and efficient healthcare to their members," said Lynn Stratton Haas, Vice President of MED3OOO and CEO of SeaView IPA. "At MED3OOO, we work with our Network Service clients to continuously produce measurable and quantifiable data to help them better manage patient populations. Our management and technology services help our clients proactively manage their caseloads through enhanced population management metrics and predictive modeling. We are very proud to be associated SeaView IPA and their providers."
