WASHINGTON, Nov. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- A group of major employers, insurance companies, third party administrators and lawyers have joined together to form the Medicare Advocacy Recovery Coalition (MARC), a broad-based group to advocate for Medicare Secondary Payor reform. The group has selected Roy Franco from Safeway and Katie Fox from MedInsights, Inc. to lead the coalition.
"Our goal is to make it easier for Medicare beneficiaries to settle claims and ensure that they receive uninterrupted Medicare payments for claims, while ensuring that the Medicare program and other stakeholders work together to ensure that the program operates efficiently, effectively, and economically," said MARC co-chair Roy Franco, who also serves as director of risk management strategies for Safeway. "Medicare is embarking on a new, and potentially massive, program involving liability claims; we look forward to working with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid services as they do."
MARC's objectives are to:
